Darren Till most recently made headlines for his alleged attempt to run a Crazy Taxi mission IRL, and in his first social media post since the event he seems as defiant as ever.
Darren Till’s social media presence has been all radio silence since mid-April. That was when the former welterweight title contender last made headlines with a bizarre series of events that involved the ‘Gorilla’ allegedly trashing a hotel room and stealing a taxicab while vacationing in the Canary Islands.
He was reportedly arrested shortly afterward, according to a story in the Daily Mail. How much veracity there is to that story remains to be seen.
But whatever the truth of it is, Till is now back online, posting a video to his Instagram account apparently from Dubai. Accompanying the short clip of Till staring into the camera and dripping sweat was a simple message, “F-ck what you think,” accompanied by a taxi cab and a couple of thought balloon emojis.
Till last stepped into the cage against Jorge Masvidal in the main event of UFC London, back March. After dominating the first round of the fight, Till ended up on the receiving end of a second round knockout loss. The defeat, coupled with his title fight loss at the hands of Tyron Woodley last September, marked the first times in Till’s 20-fight career that he has ended a bout by watching his opponents hand get raised.
No word yet on when he might be returning to the Octagon.
