The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returned TONIGHT (May 4, 2019) with a card brought to us from our neighbors to the north in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
The card featured the much anticipated Lightweight Bout between contender Al ‘Raging’ Iaquinta, with a record of 14-4-1 who last fought and won at UFC ON FOX 31 back in December, 2018 against Kevin Lee via Unanimous decision — brawling against none other than fan favorite and MMA veteran, Donald ‘The Cowboy’ Cerrone, with a storied 35-11-0, 1 NC record, whose won three of his last four fights, most recently decimating Alexander Hernandez at UFC on ESPN+ 1 via Head Kick & Punches at 3:43 of round two.
Also of note on the card was the co-main event showcasing the talents of 35-year-old Middleweight Derek Brunson, with a 18-7-0 record battling against the younger Elias Theodorou, with a 16-2-0 record, who was coming off a three-fight winning streak. Other bouts we were interested in seeing on the card included Cub Swanson vs Shane Burgos and Andrew Sanchez vs Marc-André Barriault. We’ve got all your fight card results below.
