Get a detailed breakdown of the betting lines for UFC Fight Night 152, which is set to hit Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, N.Y., this weekend (Sat., May 18, 2019), including best bets, underdogs, favorites and much more!
Two top Welterweights known for their debilitating offense, Rafael dos Anjos and Kevin Lee, will duke it out in UFC Fight Night 152’s main event inside Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, N.Y., this Saturday night (May 18, 2019). The co-main event sees Vicente Luque welcome Legacy standout Derrick Krantz to the Octagon, while Aspen Ladd rematches Sijara Eubanks and Antonio Carlos Junior puts his win streak on the line against fellow Middleweight prospect Ian Heinisch.
It’ll be a bit before you’re called on to purchase another UFC pay-per-view (PPV), so now’s the time to stockpile. Here’s how:
What Went Wrong at UFC 237?
Kurt Holobaugh’s performance left a lot to be desired and both Jessica Andrade and Irene Aldana needed more heroics than anticipated, but we ultimately came out on top. Thiago Moises looks to have finally figured out how to deal with pressure and wisely exploited Holobaugh’s poor takedown defense; hopefully, the young Brazilian will continue to improve.
UFC Fight Night 152 Odds For The Undercard:
Megan Anderson (-165) vs. Felicia Spencer (+145)
Mike Trizano (-140) vs. Grant Dawson (+120)
Des Green (-550) vs. Charles Jourdain (+425)
Patrick Cummins (-240) vs. Ed Herman (+200)
Danny Roberts (-245) vs. Michel Pereira (+205)
Trevin Giles (-150) vs. Zak Cummings (+130)
Julio Arce (-650) vs. Julian Erosa (+475)
Thoughts: I’m liking the mild underdogs here: Felicia Spencer and Grant Dawson.
Megan Anderson vs. Felicia Spencer is about as pure a “striker vs. grappler” match up as you’re likely to get in the modern UFC. Both women excel in the area their opponents struggle in, and though Anderson will have a considerable amount of size and a cardio edge on Spencer, I can’t in good conscience pick the Aussie against a grappler after she got shredded on the mat by Holly Holm. Indeed, Spencer has a good enough shot at the early finish to be worth the investment.
Dawson is scarier on the mat than Joe Giannetti or Luis Pena, both of whom managed to put the kickboxing-focused Trizano in rough spots. “The Prophet” will be shooting for takedowns within 30 seconds and I’m not convinced Trizano can stop him or survive extended grappling exchanges. I think Dawson has whole heaps of potential and will show it on Saturday.
UFC Fight Night 152 Odds For The Main Card:
Rafael Dos Anjos (-115) vs. Kevin Lee (-105)
Vicente Luque (N/A) vs. Derrick Krantz (N/A)
Aspen Ladd (-290) vs. Sijara Eubanks (+245)
Antonio Carlos Junior (-185) vs. Ian Heinisch (+160)
Charles Oliveira (-365) vs. Nik Lentz (+305)
Davi Ramos (-445) vs. Austin Hubbard (+355)
Thoughts: There’s not all that much here unless you want to stick Charles Oliveira in a parlay to beef up your payout. “Do Bronx” already ran roughshod over Lentz twice and has looked better than ever recently, so expect him to lock up yet another submission.
UFC Fight Night 152 Best Bets:
- Parlay — Felicia Spencer and Charles Oliveira: Bet $40 to make $84.80
- Single bet — Grant Dawson: Bet $50 to make $60
UFC Fight Night 152 doesn’t feature any megastars; however, it boasts a solid collection of match ups from the middle of the divisions. And that’s good enough for an ESPN+ card, I’d say. See you Saturday, Maniacs!
