“There is no history like the T.J. Dillashaw history that’s for sure.”

Last week, it was announced that MMA veteran Urijah Faber would be coming out of retirement to face bantamweight prospect Ricky Simon at the upcoming UFC Fight Night 155 event in Faber’s hometown of Sacramento, California.

Although Faber is super-excited about his return to the Octagon against Simon, ‘The California Kid’ is looking ahead to an even bigger fight against former teammate turned arch rival T.J. Dillashaw, who was recently suspended for two years by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) due to his use of the injectable-only performance-enhancing drug EPO.

Faber teased of a possible grudge match with Dillashaw in a recent interview with ESPN’s Ariel Helwani.

”The guys that don’t cheat, the guys that don’t do EPO, and HGH, and micro-dosing, testosterone or whatever the hell the kids are doing these days have a better longevity,” Faber said, per MMA Mania’s Ryan Harkness. “Joints, just your body intact. You are operating as your body is supposed to. For me, I think that is part of the reasons why I have been in the top my entire career, the top echelon. The top ten, the top two, the top three, the top one my entire career. So, I feel good.”

”We will have to see at that point. When you think of big fights for me in the weight class, Kron [Gracie] was exciting because there is a lot of hype around him right now and the history of his family. But, there is no history like the T.J. Dillashaw history that’s for sure.”

UFC Fight Night 155, which will see Faber take on Simon in the co-main event, takes place next month, July 13, at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.
