MMA SQUARED: How to Market Marlon Moraes (a screenplay)

UFC Embedded had a fantastic sequence featuring Marlon Moraes and his son. Imagine if real life was edited into an emotionally motivated promo.

Camera opens onto a hallway. It’s sunrise and from behind a door we hear Marlon speak to his son.

<single piano notes, emotional>

Next shot: Marlon is exits the room as his son climbs out of a suitcase.

Marlon is ready to leave and the boy offers his Incredible Hulk doll.

Marlon pauses. He accepts the gift saying this as he places the doll in his suitcase.

<violins accompany piano. very emotional>

Final shot: Close up of Marlon Moraes entering the octagon. Ron Perlman (or whoever’s tough these days) announces that Saturday night, Marlon Moraes will be fighting for the belt at UFC 238.
