The UFC open workouts are not unlike the promotion’s ceremonial weigh ins, in that both fan-friendly festivities are mostly for show. After all, who wants to get injured fucking around on stage trying to go hard on a platform not designed for MMA-related activities?
I guess Marlon Moraes didn’t get the memo.
The No. 1-ranked bantamweight title contender let his hands (and feet) fly to pretty impressive results ahead of his Henry Cejudo fight this Sat. night (June 8, 2019) inside United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
The winner will lay claim to the strap vacated by TJ Dillashaw, who failed a drug test earlier this year and earned himself a two-year suspension. In addition, the next in line for a 135-pound title shot will be decided at UFC 238 when Aljamain Sterling (No. 3) collides with Pedro Munhoz (No. 4).
