UFC Sacramento’s main card just took a last-minute hit.
Drakkar Klose will need a new opponent on short notice.
MMAjunkie reported on Sunday night that lightweight veteran Beneil Dariush has been forced off of this Saturday’s UFC Sacramento card. It was then confirmed to Sherdog.com by Dariush withdrew because of an injury.
“Yeah, I am [out of the fight],” he said. “Injured myself last sparring. I was hoping to push past it, but I can’t. I have two broken toes and a sprained foot.”
Klose was decidedly not happy with this.
“What a bitch @beneildariush,” Klose said. “I heard you hurt your little piggies. That’s straight p-ssy to me. I fought Marc and Teymur with a broken hand and then fought Lando and Green with a f-cked up elbow. #bitchmade #weeweeweeallthewayhome”
Dariush (16-4-1) is on a two-fight winning streak, having recently rallied to submit Drew Dober at UFC Wichita in March. Klose (10-1-1) has also won his last two, earning decisions over Lando Vannata and Bobby Green. This would’ve been an intriguing fight on the main card, but instead we’ll have to see whether or not Klose will remain on this weekend’s show.
UFC Sacramento streams live exclusively on ESPN+ and is currently headlined by a women’s bantamweight top contender bout between Germaine de Randamie and Aspen Ladd.
