Get a detailed breakdown of the betting lines for UFC Fight Night 155, which is set to hit Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, Calif., this weekend (Sat., July 13, 2019), including best bets, underdogs, favorites and much more!
Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, Calif., hosts the latest Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event to stream on ESPN+ this Saturday evening (July 13, 2019), bringing with it a clash of women’s Bantamweight contenders and one of the city’s most beloved exports.
UFC Fight Night 155’s main event sees Aspen Ladd and Germaine de Randamie make their cases that they deserve to leapfrog Ketlen Vieira in the 135-pound rankings and get a crack at dominant division champion, Amanda Nunes, while top prospect Ricky Simon welcomes Urijah Faber back to the Octagon for his first appearance since 2016 one fight prior. Other main card attractions include Featherweight knockout artist Josh Emmett against super-prospect Mirsad Bektic and Middleweight kickboxing veteran Karl Roberson taking on debuting Brazilian Wellington Turman.
It’s an eclectic collection of fights, but one that I really think we can make a profit out of. Let’s begin!
What Went Wrong at UFC 239?
Don’t bet on a whim, kids! It’s bad for the bottom line. I originally just had the Julia Avila / Michael Chiesa parlay, but decided to add the Luke Rockhold / Chiesa pick before publishing. You’d think I’d have learned not to bet on or against Jan Blachowicz at this point, but I didn’t get to where I am today by having any sort of pattern recognition.
UFC Fight Night 155 Odds For The Undercard:
Mike Rodriguez (-420) vs. John Allan (+335)
Sheymon Moraes (-120) vs. Andre Fili (EVEN)
Julianna Pena (-165) vs. Nicco Montaño (+145)
Ryan Hall (-115) vs. Darren Elkins (-105)
Brianna Van Buren (-125) vs. Livinha Souza (+105)
Liu Pingyuan (-140) vs. Jonathan Martinez (+120)
Vince Morales (-145) vs. Benito Lopez (+125)
Thoughts: Livinha Souza strikes me as a solid underdog investment. Brianna Van Buren is a dangerous young fighter, but beating two UFC washouts in Juliana Lima and Kailin Curran doesn’t measure up to Souza’s experience against some of Invicta’s best. The Brazilian is also five inches taller and strikes me as the superior technical grappler, plus the likelier of the two to score a one-shot finish. Souza’s a tall ask on short notice, so let’s take advantage of it.
UFC Fight Night 155 Odds For The Main Card:
Aspen Ladd (-170) vs. Germaine De Randamie (+150)
Ricky Simon (-345) vs. Urijah Faber 285)
Mirsad Bektic (-165) vs. Josh Emmett (+145)
Karl Roberson (-225) vs. Wellington Turman (+185)
Marvin Vettori (-150) vs. Cezar Ferreira (+130)
Thoughts: I do not understand why Cezar Ferreira is an underdog. He’s won five of his last seven, including victories over Anthony Smith and Jack Hermansson, while Vettori is 2-2-1 in the Octagon with zero wins over current members of the roster. His victories came over Alberto Uda and Vitor Miranda — who can’t wrestle to save their lives — and the Italian faces a four-inch reach disadvantage. Ferreira just seems to have every advantage here and should be a worthwhile investment.
Parlaying the favorites in the main and co-main evens seems like a decent investment. De Randamie isn’t likely to stuff Ladd’s takedowns for 25 minutes and Ladd really only needs one to move to mount and get the ground-and-pound finish. Simon, meanwhile, is 14 years younger than Faber and can more than keep up with the “California Kid’s” high-speed grappling. In addition, a three-inch reach advantage doesn’t hurt, either. Putting Ladd and Simon together leads to positive odds.
UFC Fight Night 155 Best Bets:
- Single bet — Livinha Souza: Bet $40 to make $42
- Single bet — Cezar Ferreira: Bet $65 to make $84.50
- Parlay — Aspen Ladd and Ricky Simon: Bet $50 to make $52.50
