UFC on ESPN 4’s Leon Edwards has a message to his critics.
Leon Edwards came up big in San Antonio, earning the highest-profile win of his career with a dominant unanimous decision victory over former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos in the UFC on ESPN 4 main event.
Edwards immediately called out welterweight rival Jorge Masvidal in is post-fight interview and the Brit followed up with a message to his critics on social media.
Thank you San Antonio! Keep doubting me and I will continue to show you my level. Respect to RDA he’s a legend of this sport. We came saw and conquered #pathtochampionship #strapseason pic.twitter.com/xwRiVyqJum

“Thank you San Antonio! Keep doubting me and I will continue to show you my level. Respect to RDA he’s a legend of this sport. We came saw and conquered,” Edwards posted on Twitter.
Edwards is on an eight-fight win streak but, despite his impressive resume, ‘Rocky’ is still one of the lesser-known fighters in the welterweight division and the 27-year-old has been unable to gain any serious momentum behind him. This is, in part, due to Edwards’ drudging fighting style and the fact that the Team Renegade fighter has only finished two of his last eight fights.
With Edwards’ win over dos Anjos, though, expect the streaking welterweight contender to surge into the top-five after the UFC updates its rankings.
