Henry Cejudo is open to a featherweight bout with former champ Conor McGregor.
Henry ‘Triple C’ Cejudo strikes again.
In a recent post on social media, where Cejudo responded to a fan question about how he would fare against Conor McGregor at 145-pounds, the reigning UFC flyweight and bantamweight champion said ‘The Notorious’ would be ‘light work’ despite being at a significant height and weight disadvantage at that weight class.

“Light work,” Cejudo responded about a possible matchup with McGregor, the former UFC featherweight and lightweight titleholder.
Cejudo is undoubtedly one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world, but ‘The Messenger’ would have his work cut out for him against McGregor, who would have a whopping ten inch reach advantage over the Olympic gold medallist. And, while it’s fun to speculate about the matchup, it’s highly unlikely that McGregor will ever return to the featherweight division. The last time the former champ-champ fought at featherweight was when he knocked out Jose Aldo to win the 145 lbs. strap at the historic UFC 194 PPV in Las Vegas.
Cejudo’s comments are hardly to be taken seriously, though, as the 32-year-old has also hilariously called out UFC women’s two-division champ Amanda Nunes, who has yet to respond to the Californian. For what it’s worth, former UFC middleweight titleholder Michael Bisping would put his money on Amanda Nunes if ‘The Lioness’ were to accept the fight.
