Check out the closing betting odds for tonight’s UFC 240 card, where Max Holloway is favored to finish Frankie Edgar in the main event.
It’s fight day for UFC 240 and Bloody Elbow is here with the betting odds. On top of the current moneylines, the over/under prop bets for the main and co-main events are provided as well.
The featured matchup on the main card involves an exceptional featherweight title tilt when champ Max Holloway meets former lightweight king Frankie Edgar.
Holloway is quite favored here with a moneyline of -310 with Edgar clocking in with a sizable underdog tag of +280. As of our midweek betting odds post, the over/under had yet to drop, but now they’re here. That prop bet for this main event matchup has been set at 3.5 rounds. The ‘over’ is available at a favored mark of -142 with at +127 return on the ‘under.’
The bookies project that this scheduled 25-minute fight is going to end early. ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’ is favored at -165. Going back the other way, ‘Fight goes to decision’ can be acquired for an underdog line of +135. The UFC’s defending 145-pound champ is the fighter pegged to finish this one early. ‘Holloway wins inside distance’ owns a slight favored line of -105, with ‘Not Holloway inside distance’ sitting at -125. As for the challenger, the line-setters label him as much less likely to find a finish. ‘Edgar wins inside distance’ sits at a massive dog tag of +725.
In the UFC 240 co-main event, former featherweight queen Cris Cyborg returns to action after dropping her crown to Amanda Nunes to take on the undefeated Felicia Spencer. The betting line for this one is quite long. Per usual, Cyborg’s moneyline is rather large. She is currently trending at a staggering -550. Her opponent Spencer is riding a tsunami-sized underdog wave of +435.
The over-under for this three-rounder has been set at 1.5 rounds. It really isn’t a big shocker to see someone as finish-happy as Cyborg sporting a favored ‘under.’ This time around is no different. The ‘under’ can be had for -185 and the underdog ‘over’ is tracking at +168.
Most of Cyborg’s scraps have ended early, even in her loss to Nunes, which is why the bulk of her bouts have been favored to finish inside the distance. The prop bet ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’ is wildly favored at -560. For those believing that this one will reach the scorecards, ‘Fight goes to decision’ is rocking a fat dog tag of +405.
Of course, it’s Cyborg that has been marked to end this match before it hits the judges. ‘Cyborg wins inside distance’ is moderately favored at -280. ‘Not cyborg inside distance’ is hovering at +220. As for Canada’s own Spencer, her inside the distance lines are much larger. ‘Spencer wins inside distance’ is resting at +504 with ‘Not Spencer inside distance’ insanely favored at -807.
The UFC 240 main card will air live on Pay-Per-View (ESPN+) at 10:00 P.M. ET with the prelims starting at 8:00 P.M. ET on ESPN. The exclusive Fight Pass prelims will begin at 6:30P.M. ET.
