Dana White says Conor McGregor disagrees that Jorge Masvidal is ‘too big’ for him.

Chael Sonnen was right.

Last week, ‘The American Gangster’ said Dana White’s public comments about Jorge Masvidal being too big for Conor McGregor were an attempt to provoke a reaction from the Irishman and, lo and behold, ‘The Notorious’ has fired back at the UFC president, albeit in private.

Speaking at Saturday’s UFC 240 post-fight press conference, a mischievous-looking Dana White said McGregor was ‘not happy’ about his comments on Masvidal, indicating that he elicited the desired reaction from the former UFC two-division champion.

“Masvidal’s too big for him, man,” White told reporters in Alberta, Canada yesterday. “I think Masvidal’s too big, Conor disagrees. So, Conor was not happy that I said Masvidal was too big for him.”

Masvidal, an ex-bare knuckle fighter from the streets of Miami, Florida, called McGregor out after his sensational flying knee knockout of Ben Askren at UFC 239, which saw ‘Gamebred’ set the new record for the fastest KO in UFC history (5 seconds).

McGregor, meanwhile, hasn’t fought since his submission loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229, but the 31-year-old is expected to return to the Octagon later this year.
