MMA: UFC Fight Night-Pittsburgh- Jotko vs Hall

Around this time last year, it seemed like Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight veteran, Krzysztof Jotko, was on the verge of getting cut from the world’s largest mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion, thanks to three consecutive losses in which he was finished twice.

Fast-forward to July 2019 and the Polish pistol is now the winner of two straight, including last Sat. night’s (July 27) split-decision win over the rough-and-tumble Marc-Andre Barriault at the UFC 240 pay-per-view (PPV) event in Edmonton.

“I want Uriah Hall next,” Jotko told MMA Junkie during his post-fight interview. “I fought with him and he landed a lucky punch. I want to have that fight again. This time I promise I will be 100 percent and kick his ass.”

Jotko (21-4) and Hall (14-9) first went to war back in late 2017, with “Prime Time” winning by way of second-round technical knockout. Hall has since split a pair of fights against Paulo Henrique Costa (L) and Bevon Lewis (W).

The chances of them running it back are unlikely at this juncture. Hall is already paired off against Antonio Carlos Jr. at UFC Vancouver this September on ESPN+ and stands at No. 11 in the official rankings (see them here).

Jotko remains unranked.
