Press Release – CHICAGO, Ill. (March 21, 2011) — Louisiana has been home to five different Bellator events and it will now officially host two more in 2011. Bellator Fighting Championships today announced a two-event deal with L’Auberge du Lac Casino Resort in Lake Charles, LA.
The L’Auberge Event Center was the host of a sold out Bellator 31 in September, 2010. The casino will now host the Season 4 finale, Bellator 45 on May 21, 2011 and a Season 5 event, Bellator 52 on October 1, 2011. Both events will air LIVE on MTV2.
“L’Auberge du Lac is a spectacular casino resort with a world-class, exciting venue that was sold out, standing room only in Season 3. I’m thrilled we will be going back twice before the end of 2011 to entertain our loyal fans along the Gulf Coast,” said Bellator Chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney.
