Light heavyweights Angonio Rogerio Nogueira and Trevor Smith are reportedly headed to Sao Paulo, Brazil, in November.
Octagon veteran Antonio Rogerio Nogueira is not ready to call it a career just yet.
At 43 years of age, ‘Lil’ Nog’ will reportedly perform for the fifth consecutive time in his home country of Brazil. Per Combate, the Brazilian is paired up against Trevor Smith at the upcoming UFC Sao Paulo, in November.
Brutally knocked out by prospect Ryan Spann in his last outing, back in May, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (23-9) will try his first win since a first round TKO of Sam Alvey, which dates back to September 2018. The 43-year-old hasn’t won two fights in a row since a TKO win over Tito Ortiz in December 2011 and an unanimous decision victory over Rashad Evans in February 2013.
Also in much need of a win, Trevor Smith (15-9) will look to snap a two-fight losing skid, after dropping unanimous decisions to Zak Cummings and Elias Theodorou, back in December and May 2018, respectively. Just five years younger than Nogueira, the 38-year-old’s last win happened in May 2017, when he bested Chris Camozzi via unanimous decision.
Now, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira is expected to take on Trevor Smith at UFC Fight Night 164, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on November 16. So far, no main events have been announced for the card.
