Colby Covington may be making a lot of noise, but he apparently hasn’t gotten Nate Diaz’s attention.
After UFC 241, Nate Diaz is only looking for fights that would excite him. Right after his win over Anthony Pettis, he immediately called out Jorge Masvidal to fight it out for the “baddest motherf—r” title.
Other than that, the 34-year-old Diaz brother isn’t interested in anyone else. So when Colby Covington’s name was brought up to him during his post-fight media scrum, this is what he had to say.
“I don’t know who that is,” Diaz told the media during his post-fight scrum. “If we got somebody good to fight, that’s who I want to fight. That’s what I’m saying. You’ve got to do something.
“If you’ve been here for two weeks and get a little hype show, I don’t give a shit.”
Diaz was also asked about how fatherhood has treated him since the birth of his daughter, which he somehow connected to his contemporaries.
“I’ve been a father for years… fathering all kinds of these little motherf—rs.”
Diaz’s comeback from a three-year layoff greatly impressed UFC president Dana White, admitting that Nate “is a needle-mover now.”
