The UFC has continued to add to its card at Madison Square Garden in November, as Edmen Shahbazyan meets Krzysztof Jotko,
A middleweight matchup between undefeated Edmen Shahbazyan and Krzysztof Jotko has been added to UFC 244 in November.
MMA Junkie first reported the matchup, however the UFC is yet to officially announce the fight. This will be the UFC’s first visit to Madison Square Garden in 2019, with the last card taking place at ‘MSG’ being UFC 230, when Daniel Cormier fought Derrick Lewis in the main event.
The undefeated Shahbayzan’s (10-0) last two fights haven’t even lasted a total of two minutes, with the 21-year-old knocking out Charles Byrd at UFC 235 in 35-seconds and submitting Jack Marshman in just over a minute at UFC 239 in July. Shahbayzan won a split decision over Darren Stewart before his most recent wins.
Starting off his UFC career with five consecutive wins, Jotko (21-4) went on a bad spell losing three straight fights from 2017-18. The 30-year-old has since rebounded by picking up consecutive decision wins, most recently getting past Marc-André Barriault at UFC 240 in late July.
UFC 244 takes place on November 2nd at Madison Square Garden. The card is currently without a main event. Recently, a women’s flyweight matchup between Katlyn Chookagian and Jennifer Maia was added to the card.
