Those mixed martial arts (MMA) fans celebrating BJ Penn’s first win in almost nine years will be disappointed to learn “The Prodigy” was likely looking to avenge an earlier loss, as new footage has emerged of the hotheaded Hawaiian throwing hands outside “Big Island’s” Lava Shack.
While the shirtless bruiser with heavy hands won’t be landing a UFC contract with his fast finish, his 1-2 combination was enough to ice “The Prodigy” and send him flat on his back. It’s kinda sad to watch the legendary lightweight go down this perilous path.
No telling how this latest hiccup will affect his upcoming match up against Nik Lentz, currently scheduled for fourth quarter of 2019. Considering this marks the final fight of Penn’s UFC career, the promotion may be willing to sneak him in before he gets himself in any more trouble.
Penn, 40, has lost seven straight fights in which he was finished three times.
