Check out the third episode of Embedded for UFC 242.
UFC 242 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the third episode for this weekend’s big show in the Abu Dhabi, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
We start off with Khabib Nurmagomedov, who is doing some sparring. Javier Mendez discusses the specifics. As usual, Khabib has teammates fighting on the same card, but Mendez is very happy to have Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov there to help out as well for the first time.
Over at the Crowne Plaza, Paul Felder and his team are trying on their shorts and other equipment. As usual, everyone is joking around. Edson Barboza does some media, talking about why him and Felder are rematching.
Dustin Poirier is presented with some jewelry. Andrea Lee poses for a photo with him, and she talks about them all being from the South. Poirier flexes for the camera and looks at some gear. They sign some posters. Felder says his mom is the one that taught him how to fight, but he got his athletic talent from his dad. Oh, and he can’t hit a baseball to save his life.
Khabib has a crew of 40 people at the hotel to do media. He smells his new gloves and poses with his belt. Khabib says that him and Poirier have gotten a little more snippy with each other because it’s mind games, but he has respect for him – until they enter the Octagon.
And that’s it! UFC 242 goes down this Saturday morning in Abu Dhabi.
