Welcome to Midnight Mania!
It’s never easy to play the salary game when discussing UFC fighters. Often, the official numbers are hidden from the public, and even when they’re revealed, those figures do not include discretionary bonuses or factors like pay-per-view (PPV) points. Even ignoring outside revenue streams like sponsorships, there’s no easy way to pin down just how much a fighter is being paid.
Unless, of course, an athlete’s father blabs numbers to the media!
Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, father and coach of Khabib Nurmagomedov, recently discussed with TASS some details regarding his son’s salary. Comparing his son’s pursue to the one paid when Nurmagomedov dispatched super star Conor McGregor, the Nurmagomedov family patriarch stated, “This time, it [the purse] will be 3-3.5-fold higher, We aren’t fighting for peanuts and we know our value. That sum [of $2 million] is too little for us because we are the best at the moment. We have defeated the best and are ready to keep fighting with the best.”
In addition, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov credits his son’s growing popularity for the increase in salary. While it’s hard to say currently whether this estimate is merely base pay or includes PPV points, it’s nice to have a ballpark figure for one half of perhaps the year’s biggest main event.
Move over “Red Panty Night,” future fighters might just be aiming for that papakha payout!
Insomnia
This does not look like a Flyweight and Welterweight light sparring:
Pro kickboxer vs. Punching machine
Cyborg having a pet pig named Manny Porkiao is the type of content I live to find.
Mitt work in the streets of Saigon!
Believe it!
Paul Felder finishing up the last bit of his camp:
“Black Beast” fan art!
Slips, rips, and KO clips
UFC Featherweight Nad Narimani savaging a foe on the regional scene.
Te Edwards hugely impressed in his debut, and I’m excited to see the South African prospect’s return to the cage on Saturday.
Perhaps the most ridiculous flying triangle I have ever seen!

Anyone else spar with their cat?
