Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returned to the pay-per-view (PPV) market last Saturday (Sept. 7, 2019) as UFC 242 went down from inside The Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. In the main event of the evening, Khabib Nurmagomedov retained his Lightweight title after submitting Dustin Poirier in the third round (see it) to score consecutive win number 28.
While Poirier did have a few good moments, “The Eagle’s” dominant performance showed why the 155-pound king wants to be called the greatest pound-for-pound fighter on the planet.
In the co-headlining act, Paul Felder got revenge on Edson Barboza by edging out a split-decision victory in what was a highly-competitive Lightweight rematch between two of the best strikers in the game (recap).
Now, you can watch all the action go down in super-slow motion, courtesy of the “Fight Motion” video embedded above. After checking out the footage, Ottman Azaitar’s one-punch knockout of Teemu Packalen looks far more dramatic when slowed down.
