Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman, has one thing in common with former 170-pound kingpin, Tyron Woodley, who fell to “The Nigerian Nightmare” at UFC 235 back in March.
Both believe “The Chosen One” is the greatest welterweight of all time.
That’s one of many reasons why Usman wants crybaby critics to stop whining about his title defense timeline. After all, it’s up to the promotion to find the right opponent (and the right money) to lure him back to the Octagon.
“Y’all must’ve forgot who took out the greatest welterweight of all time,” Usman wrote on Twitter. “Y’all keep crying about me defending? Well find the right guy and right money and I’ll repeat the ass whoopin!!”
Fans thought Colby Covington was the right opponent and considering Usman was willing to fight him for free in the buffet line at Palms Casino Resort, it was a bit surprising to hear the deal fell apart ahead of UFC 244 in New York.
Maybe it’s time for a rematch with G.O.A.T. instead?
