The co-main event of Bellator 232 sees Paul Daley take on Sabah Homasi,
A exciting welterweight matchup between Paul Daley and Sabah Homasi has been booked for the co-main event of Bellator 232 in October.
ESPN first reported the news. The fight will be Homasi’s second in Bellator after signing for the promotion in April, he scored a 17-second KO in his debut against Micah Terrill in August.
Daley (41-17-2) has gone the distance in his last three fights, losing consecutive decisions to Jon Fitch and Michael Page before most recently defeating Erick Silva in June. Prior to the loss against Page, Daley’s Bellator future was uncertain as he demanded his release from the promotion, but instead he inked a new deal and stayed with the promotion.
Homasi (13-8) fought three times for the UFC, losing to Tim Means in his UFC debut, he then fought Abdul Razak Alhassan twice, controversially losing on a premature stoppage TKO before getting cleanly KO’d in the rematch. After the defeats, he was released by the promotion.
Bellator 232 takes place at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut on October 26th. The card will be headlined by the final of the Bellator Welterweight Grand Prix, Rory MacDonald vs. Douglas Lima 2. The card will stream exclusively on DAZN.
