Cain Velasquez continues to impress in the wrestling ring.
Cain Velasquez is pretty damn good at this professional wrestling thing.
No one knew what to expect when Velasquez announced he’d signed with Mexican wrestling promotion AAA, but the former two-time UFC heavyweight champion has moves to rival WWE’s Rey Mysterio.
Seriously, just check out the videos below, where Velasquez can be seen leaping from top ropes and landing hurricanranas in a six-man tag team match at AAA’s Sunday Night Invading NY event.

Velasquez, who hasn’t fought in the Octagon since his knockout loss to Francis Ngannou at UFC on ESPN 1, is scheduled to return to the wrestling ring next month, Oct. 13 at The Forum in Inglewood, California.
Although Velasquez is currently focused on Mexican professional wrestling, the 37-year-old is open to a UFC comeback in the future.
“The door is not closed,” Velasquez said last week. “I’m always thinking about it. I definitely would like to fight again for sure. I don’t know when, but that door is always open. I’m still going to the gym and training, even though it’s not like I’m training for a fight.
“Right now I’m just having so much fun doing the pro wrestling, so we’ll see what happens. But as far as right now, I do plan on fighting again.”
Despite having only won one fight in the last three years, Velasquez is still ranked in the UFC’s official top-ten heavyweight rankings.
