Cleveland Browns marched into enemy territory and beat the brakes off the hapless New York Jets last night (Mon., Sept. 16, 2019), allowing “Gang Green” to keep pace with the equally-awful New York Giants, who finally benched the struggling Eli Manning in favor of rookie Daniel Jones.
Which now makes me wonder just how long it will take NY Post to use the headline “Jonestown” on its back page.
What does this have to do with mixed martial arts (MMA)? Well, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight champion, Stipe Miocic, was on the Browns’ sidelines on Monday because he’s from Cleveland and loves his sports teams.

Miocic (19-3) recaptured his crown from Daniel Cormier in the UFC 241 main event last month in Anaheim, Calif., and will now wait for matchmakers to hand down his next assignment. Whether or not “DC” retires is likely to influence that decision-making process, so hopefully the ex-champ can get his mind made up sooner, rather than later.
