Jack Hermansson will look to score his fifth straight win this Saturday night (Sept. 28, 2019) when he takes on Jared Cannonier at UFC Fight Night 160 inside Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Prior to that, let’s take a trip down memory lane to see one of Jack’s most impressive wins during his run, a unanimous decision victory over Ronald Souza. Indeed, the two men headlined UFC Fight Night 150 last April in Sunrise, Florida.
For Souza, it was his chance to score back-to-back wins for the first time in nearly three years after an up-down UFC career, perhaps putting him closer to a title shit that has escaped him for some time now. For Jack, getting a “W” over a longtime veteran like “Jacare” puts the biggest mark on his resume.
After five rounds of tough and intense action, Hermansson managed to do enough to earn the nod on all the the scorecards, getting him closer to a shot at the strap. Before then, however, “Joker” has to get through another rising Middleweight in Cannonier.
On a two-fight win streak with victories over David Branch and Anderson Silva, “Killa Gorilla” is looking to cement himself as a fixture atop of the 185-pound pecking order, as well. The fight will have major implications in the championship picture, especially since Robert Whittaker will defend his title against Israel Adesnaya the following week at UFC 243.
