The 35-year-old Russian was found dead by hotel staff at the Sea Breeze Jomtien Resort.

An aspiring Russian boxer was found dead in a pool of his own blood at a hotel resort in Pattaya, Thailand.

Aleksey Zabolotsky, 35, was found by hotel staff at the Sea Breeze Jomtien Resort in Pattaya after allegedly falling from his hotel balcony on the fourth floor. He was found lying face down with serious injuries to his head, arms, and legs. He was wearing nothing but a pair of underwear at the time.

Thai media reported that Pattaya police and emergency responders arrived on scene after receiving reports that the man fell to his death. There were no witnesses to the incident, though one staff member heard a loud thud and alerted the police.

Zabolotsky was staying with two other Russians, neither of whom were available for comment. His main reason for being in Thailand was to become a professional boxer.

Police officers have yet to determine the cause of death, or whether the death was a suicide, accident, or a crime.
