Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently tied a ribbon around its UFC Fight Night 160 media day, held in advance of the upcoming ESPN+ event on Sat. night (Sept. 28, 2019) inside Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark.
That’s where Jack Hermansson faced off against fellow light heavyweight headliner Jared Cannonier.
Hermansson (20-4) fought his way into the middleweight Top 5 by turning away longtime contender, Ronaldo Souza, at UFC Ft. Lauderdale back in April. His upset victory over “Jacare” marked “The Joker’s” fourth straight win and pushed his UFC record to 7-2.
As for Cannonier (12-4), he slowly but surely worked his way down from the heavyweight division, landing at middleweight and scoring successful technical knockout wins over David Branch and Anderson Silva. The “Killa Gorilla” is 5-4 in UFC but the winner of two straight.
T-minus two days.
