Bloody Elbow has all the details on Errol Spence Jr vs. Shawn Porter right here, including fight card, fight time, live stream info, results, and more.
It’s fight day!
Tonight (Saturday, September 28th) from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California sees Errol Spence Jr (25-0, 21 KOs) to defend his IBF welterweight title against WBC champion Shawn Porter (30-2-1, 17 KOs) in a unification bout. Spence is considered one of the pound-for-pound boxers in the world, and this is the first unification matchup of his career (as well as Porter’s).

Spence has been a welterweight champion since his 2017 win over Kell Brook (one of just two people to beat Porter). “The Truth” defended his title against Lamont Peterson and later Carlos Ocampo in a mismatch, then dispatched former lightweight champ Mikey Garcia earlier this year. Porter won the vacant WBC title in a close battle with Danny Garcia last September, then edged out Yordenis Ugas on the scorecards this past March to set up this big showdown. It is Spence who is the heavy favorite, but Porter is the first real welterweight test for Errol since the Brook bout. We shall see if Porter’s aggressive, roughhousing, pressure style is effective against a more technical, powerful boxer who’s not easy to pressure and is even more dangerous on the front foot.
Bloody Elbow is here to provide you full coverage of Spence vs. Porter. Here are the basic details on who’s fighting on Saturday night, how you can watch the card, where you can catch a live stream, and more.
