Lightweights Charles Oliveira and Jared Gordon are headed to Brazil on November 16.
Charles Oliveira will get to fight in front of his people once again in the UFC. A native of Sao Paulo, ‘Do Bronx’ was announced by UFC Brazil’s official Instagram page that he will take on Jared Gordon at UFC Sao Paulo, on November 16.
Currently on a five-fight winning streak, with finishes over the likes of Clay Guida, Christos Giagos, Jim Miller, David Teymur and most recently Nik Lentz, Charles Oliveira (27-8-1 NC) has not lost a fight since a TKO defeat to Paul Felder back in December 2017. This was his sole loss after coming back to the lightweight division from featherweight.
Looking to start a new streak, Jared Gordon (15-3) defeated Dan Moret via unanimous decision in his last outing, back in June. The win snapped a two-fight losing streak for ‘Flash’, in which he was knocked out by both Joaquim Silva and Carlos Diego Ferreira.
Now, Charles Oliveira is expected to take on Jared Gordon at UFC Fight Night 164, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on November 16. The card is set to be headlined by a light heavyweight bout between former middleweight contender Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza and Jan Blachowicz.
