John Kavanagh would love Conor McGregor to rematch Khabib Nurmagomedov in enemy territory.

Earlier this week, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov invited Conor McGregor to Moscow for a possible rematch with his son, Khabib Nurmagomedov.

“If McGregor wants it, then Moscow is waiting for him,” Abdulmanap said in a recent interview with Zhivina100 (per RT Sport). “He said once that he has more fans here than Khabib. We want to host him in Moscow, he is welcome – we are waiting.”

McGregor has yet to respond to Abdulmanap, but SBG Ireland head coach John Kavanagh wasted no time in taking the wrestling powerhouse up on his offer.

“I’d love to visit Moscow,” Kavanagh posted on Thursday.

Kavanagh was in McGregor’s corner for UFC 229, where ‘The Eagle’ submitted ‘The Notorious’ in the fourth-round of the blockbuster main event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Since then, Nurmagomedov has gone on to defend his title against Dustin Poirier while McGregor has been sidelined with injury. Khabib, who is undefeated after 28 professional fights, is expected to return to the cage in the first quarter of 2020 to defend his lightweight strap against Tony Ferguson.

McGregor, too, is rumored for a comeback in the new year but an opponent has yet to be announced.
