Rousey’s back – on both Fox’s 9-1-1 and E’s Total Divas.
Of all the MMA fighters who have crossed over into entertainment, Ronda Rousey has racked up arguably the most high profile credits. And she’s recently added two more to the total with a three episode arc on FOX’s 9-1-1, a one-hour drama about first responders starring Angela Bassett—and by joining the cast of E’s Total Divas.
Rousey’s turn as Lena Bosko on 9-1-1 caught some unexpected publicity when the WWE star nearly severed her finger while filming. Rousey posted a photo to Instagram which quickly went viral. Ever the showman, she used the injury as opportunity to plug her appearance on the show, writing, “And of course tune in to see how well I can act like my finger didn’t just fall off in this upcoming season of @911onfox.” ‘Rowdy’ was back on set the next day, proving she didn’t leave her toughness in the octagon.
On E’s Total Divas Rousey joins Naomi, Natalya, Nia Jax, Carmella, and Sonya Deville. The series follows WWE Divas from their work in the ring to their personal lives. The premiere episode featured Ronda debating putting her career on hold to have a baby with husband, UFC Heavyweight Travis Browne. “Am I being selfish?” Ronda pondered. A question that may have needed some consideration, given the state of flux created by her potential WWE exit.
Ronda Rousy fans can find her on E’s Total Divas on Tuesday nights at 10pm and on Fox’s 9-1-1 on Monday nights at 8pm.
