If the worst thing that happens to Errol Spence Jr., aside from wrecking his Ferrari and smashing up some of his teeth, is getting charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), then I’d say he made out pretty good in this deal.

That’s because the 29 year-old pugilist suffered a car crash so violent, it’s nothing short of a miracle he survived, especially after watching this video. And not only did Spence Jr. survive, he walked away with his boxing career still intact.

“Mr. Spence has been released from the hospital and will need to address those charges,” Dallas police said about the class B misdemeanor (via ESPN). “As for getting a speed of the vehicle, we will not be getting one. It was a single-car accident with no other criminal charges. Therefore, no reason to get a warrant to pull the [black box] of the vehicle.”

Spence Jr., who represented the United States at the 2012 Olympics, is fresh off his split decision victory over Shawn Porter last month in Los Angeles, which unified the 147-pound world titles. “The Truth” is 26-0 with 21 knockouts and holds the WBC and IBF straps.
