Jorge Masvidal gives fans the opportunity to spar at the UFC 244 open workouts.
Things got crazy at the official UFC 244 open workouts on Wednesday, as headlining fighter and former Miami-based street fighter Jorge Masvidal had fans spar onstage with boxing gloves.
Only body shots were allowed, and fortunately no one was hurt. In fact, the aspiring fighters put on quite an entertaining show before UFC Vice President of Athlete Development Reed Harris intervened and put a stop to the action (booooo).

Masvidal, a mixed martial arts veteran of over sixteen years, is scheduled to take on Ultimate Fighter 5 winner Nate Diaz for the ‘baddest motherf-cker’ (BMF) title in the UFC 244 main event this Saturday, Nov. 2 at Madison Square Garden, New York City. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is expected to enter the Octagon and present the belt to the winner of what promises to be one of the most exciting title fights of the year.
