Welcome to Midnight Mania!

Welcome to Midnight Mania!

Despite ferociously decapitating his last three opponents in something like two minutes total, Ngannou is somehow the forgotten contender at Heavyweight. He’s been pushed to the sidelines while Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier settle their trilogy, and Ngannou has repeatedly expressed a desire to fight rather than wait.

Alexander Volkov, Jon Jones, Tyson Fury — it matters not to “The Predator.”

Luckily, someone has agreed to square off with Ngannou based on the above tweet about a successful meeting with UFC president Dana White. In the past, White and Ngannou have not seen eye-to-eye, but it appears that hurdle has been climbed. Hopefully, the end result of this new development is a fight for the Cameroonian, who is consistently must-watch entertainment.

Insomnia

I got the win! First-round rear naked choke victory, but there was plenty of drama and intrigue. I’ve already written an entire overly long recap post and am merely waiting on the video from the promotion to post it. Until then, enjoy some pictures, and thanks again for all the love!

Derrick Lewis returns us to our regularly scheduled broadcast. Out of the three main groups who are supposed to share the road (bikers, pedestrians, drivers), who is the most annoying?

Ben Askren certainly kept things entertaining in his brief UFC stint.

I did not expect this from Mr. Bas Rutten.

Made me think of Austin Powers the “tent scene”.

Why does the MMA world hate it so much when a fighter is retired? Nick Diaz is done. Let him rest. He’s done enough.

This is pretty awesome!

Slips, rips, and KO clips

Did you catch this weekend’s absolutely insane rolling thunder knockout of UFC vet Ross Pearson? What is there to say other than WOW!

One of those fantastic exchanges where either guy could get put down at any instant. Good luck guessing which!

Poor guy probably just should have let him sink in that choke attempt — his toughness only earned him a more severe beating.

Random Land

F*** Seaworld and all, but it’s neat video of a smart fish (mammal, I know, whatever).
