Sylvester Stallone (Rocky) teamed up with Oscar-winning director Deirdre Fenton (30 for 30) to relive Anthony Joshua vs. Andy Ruiz in the DAZN documentary ONE NIGHT: JOSHUA vs RUIZ.
The documentary includes interviews with Ruiz, Joshua, Stallone, Michael Strahan, “Sugar” Ray Leonard, Evander Holyfield, Gerry Cooney and Hans “Dolph” Lundgren. Perhaps most interesting, the film also boasts interviews with two men who were involved in another historic heavyweight upset: Mike Tyson and Buster Douglas.
ONE NIGHT: JOSHUA vs RUIZ premieres Thursday Nov. 21 at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT. The film can be viewed on DAZN’s streaming service as well as on their YouTube and Facebook channels. That means you do not need to be a DAZN subscriber to watch the doc.
Joshua and Ruiz are set for a heavyweight title rematch on December 7, and it will happen in Saudi Arabia.
