Jorge Masvidal will be part of this weekend’s Combate Americas commentary team.
“BMF” champion Jorge Masvidal can now add color commentator to his list of accomplishments. “Gamebred” will be part of the commentary team for the upcoming Combate Americas card this Saturday in Texas, headlined by a fight between UFC Hall-of-Famer Tito Ortiz and former WWE star Alberto “El Patron.”
“The UFC’s BMF champ Jorge Masvidal is joining forces with MMA’s dynamic duo of Julianna Peña and Max Bretos to form the most explosive commentary team in the sport this Saturday for the biggest fight of the year,” Combate Americas CEO Campbell McLaren said in a statement (via MMA Fighting).
2019 has been a colorful year for Masvidal. Fresh from almost a two-year hiatus, he knocked out Darren Till inside two rounds in England last March. Three months later, he scored the fastest knockout in UFC history when he slept Ben Askren with a flying knee inside five seconds.
In November, he defeated Nate Diaz via third-round TKO due to a doctor stoppage to become the first “baddest motherf—r” titleholder of the UFC.
Ortiz vs. El Patron airs live on pay-per-view on Saturday, December 7th with a start time of 9 PM ET/6 PM PT.
