Jose Aldo doesn’t look too great ahead of his UFC bantamweight debut against Marlon Moraes.
Despite having trouble cutting to 145-pounds in the past, former UFC featherweight king Jose Aldo will have to endure what could possibly be the most brutal weight cut of his career when he makes his bantamweight debut against Marlon Moraes later this month at UFC 245.
Photos have surfaced of Aldo just one week out from UFC 245, and the Brazilian doesn’t look great, to say the least. ‘Scarface’ looks dangerously thin and very gaunt, which begs the question of whether the former pound-for-pound No. 1 will be able make it to the scales on Dec. 13.

The MMA veteran told reporters at the UFC 245 media scrum that he is eating ‘almost two pounds of salad a day’ (h/t MMA Fighting).
“Only if it were a vegan steak house, salads only. I’m eating that a lot now, almost two pounds of salad a day. But I’ll be able to do that the Saturday after the fight.”
Aldo announced his move to bantamweight after dropping a unanimous decision to Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 237. His opponent, 31-year-old Moraes, is currently ranked #1 in the official bantamweight rankings and will be looking to spring back into the winners column following his TKO loss to two-division champ Henry Cejudo at UFC 238.
UFC 245, which features a headlining welterweight title bout between Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington, takes place next Saturday, Dec. 14 at T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas.
