Or maybe “Ice Box Canyon” is really pronounced “Ice Ball Cannon” and I’m just out of the loop.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) continues to roll out its UFC 245 “Embedded” video blogs for this weekend’s end-of-year extravaganza, featuring a championship tripleheader available only by way of ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) on Sat., Dec. 14, 2019 inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Headlining this weekend’s fight card will be the 170-pound grudge match pitting reigning welterweight kingpin, Kamaru Usman, opposite bitter rival and division No. 1 contender, Colby Covington. In addition, Max Holloway defends his featherweight title against Alexander Volkanovski, while Amanda Nunes gives Germaine De Randamie a second chance to make history on the PPV main card.

From the UFC YouTube channel:

On Episode 2 of UFC 245 Embedded, welterweight title challenger Colby Covington enjoys the familiar faces and fond memories at a Las Vegas wrestling tournament. Featherweight title challenger Alexander Volkanovski cruises through his workout but struggles with a hotel mini-fridge. Featherweight king Max Holloway leads his team on a hike at Red Rock Canyon and demonstrates his questionable tracking skills. Double champ Amanda Nunes does media hits and sightsees in LA. UFC 245 Embedded is an all-access, behind-the-scenes video blog leading up to the three title fights taking place Saturday December 14. Order the Pay-Per-View at ESPNPlus.com/PPV.

After scrolling through the YouTube comments I was troubled to see I’m not the only one who thinks Holloway sounds “sleepy” again, a condition that had ex-champion and UFC commentator, Michael Bisping, worried ahead of UFC 226 back in July 2018.

I would love nothing more than to be wrong.
