heck out the first episode of Embedded for UFC 245.
UFC 245 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the first episode for this weekend’s big show in Sin City, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
We stop off at Florida at welterweight champ Kamaru Usman’s house. He’s getting his gear ready to go to Vegas. He talks about his cup. Great start. He gets his hair done and has a shave.
Over in Vegas, Colby Covington arrives at the airport. Apparently he’s being put up at the Trump hotel and he’s going to “make Vegas great again”. A week of doing these Embeddeds with him saying stuff like this is going to be really taxing. With that being said though, he’s a normal person for a minute here and talks about coming to fight town early to acclimate and get his mind ready.
Back in Florida, Henri Hooft explains that Usman doesn’t really do camps, he’s in the gym year-round.
Back to Vegas. Alexander Volkanovski lands and says he didn’t water load yet so the flight wasn’t so bad. He forgot his food at home. He doesn’t get the stretch limo until he wins the belt. He’s not playing around.
Over at the Performance Institute, Max Holloway is doing some final prep. He hasn’t fought in Vegas in four years. He shouts out Canadians as usual, which always makes me happy. As usual, his team is clowning around and having fun. They jump between the hot and cold tubs, making a lot of noise along the way.
And that’s it! UFC 245 goes down this Saturday night in the T-Mobile Arena.
