Much of the talk surrounding this weekend’s UFC 245 pay-per-view (PPV) event has focused on the weight cut of Jose Aldo, who surprised the MMA community with his announcement that he would be making the drop to bantamweight.

UFC President Dana White thought it would never happen.

And yet here we are just one day out from the UFC 245 weigh ins and Aldo appears to be heading to the 136-pound limit, which includes the one pound allowance for non-title fights. Sure, he might be dead by Sat. morning, but at least he made weight!

Have a look:

Looking good!

If Aldo makes weight, then manages to step into the cage on Sat. night (Dec. 14, 2019) and lay waste to Marlon Moraes, or at least look strong and competitive, then we can all shut up about his drastic weight cut.

Until then, we should continue to make a big deal about extreme weight cutting before someone dies.

It happens.
