I guess Dana White was wrong?

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight champion, Jose Aldo, made weight for his 135-pound showdown against Marlon Moraes, marking the first of what could be many drops to bantamweight for the mixed martial arts (MMA) icon.

Then again, we have yet to see what version of Aldo shows up on fight night.

The Brazilian faced an outpouring of concern for his dramatic weight cut leading up to Sat. night’s (Dec. 14, 2019) UFC 245 pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, after photos revealed a gaunt, wiry Aldo looking completely sucked out.

See a sample of those troubling pics here.

Like so many fighters before him, Aldo, 33, is trying to recapture some of his former glory by changing divisions, though “Junior” appears to be bucking the trend of going up in weight, instead of down.

We’ll see if the move pays off tomorrow night in “Sin City.”
