Germaine de Randamie is fighting for a world title at UFC 245 on Saturday, but she does not suspect to be in the fight game for much longer.

Germaine de Randamie is focused on winning the UFC women’s bantamweight championship at UFC 245, but she does not expect a record-setting title reign.

de Randamie touched on the possibility of retirement in an interview with Fansided’s Drake Riggs ahead of her fight with Amanda Nunes.

“I’m always positive in every situation and of course you think about it. Because I want to become a mom one day,” she shared. “But at this point right now, I don’t know, because I don’t think it’s a thought that should be in my mind right now. You do have a plan for yourself, but it’s not a thought that is crossing my mind right now. And I don’t think that’s the right thought to have right now. But I do know, there’s not much left for me to do after this. I can defend the belt or if I lose, there’s not much to do after this. We’ll see.

“Of course, you want to defend the belt. But if I lose, I don’t know. Am I gonna try and capture the belt again? I don’t know, but still, like I said, right now my focus is on Saturday,” GDR reiterated. “Have fun, absolutely have fun, and that’s the coolest part. Now I get to have fun and I get to fight the best female MMA fighter there is at this moment. So that is just one thing in itself that is awesome. And put another thing in my basket for things that write my legacy. That’s the most important thing right now. That’s my focus. After Saturday, I’m gonna let my body heal then we’ll see what happens.”

Nunes vs. GDR is a rematch from Nov. 2013, where Nunes conquered her foe via third-round TKO. UFC 245 is take place on Saturday, Dec. 14 and features three title fights: Kamaru Usman vs. Colby Covington, Max Holloway vs. Alex Volkanovski and Nunes vs. GDR.
