Former UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt is headed to his home state of Ohio for the first time in over five years.

Per ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, ‘No Love’ will take on top contender Raphael Assuncao at UFC Columbus, in March 2020.

Currently on a three-fight losing skid, Cody Garbrandt (11-3) has not won a fight since defeating Dominick Cruz via unanimous decision to win the bantamweight belt, back in December 2016. After that, the 28-year-old suffered a string of knockout losses, two at the hands of T.J. Dillashaw and most recently Pedro Munhoz at UFC 235 in March.

MMA veteran Raphael Assuncao (27-7) will also look to snap a skid of his own. Coming off back-to-back losses to Marlon Moraes in February and Cory Sandhagen back in August, the last time the 37-year-old had his hand raised was in July 2018, when he bested Rob Font via unanimous decision.

A heavyweight bout between top contenders Francis Ngannou and Jairzinho Rozenstruik is scheduled to headline UFC Columbus, which is set for March 28th.
