Tyron Woodley will be heading to London to fight Leon Edwards.
It looks like former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley will be heading to the UK after all.
Woodley had previously snubbed British welterweight Leon Edwards but ‘T-Wood’ revealed in a recent Instagram post that he will be making the trip across the pond to take on ‘Rocky’ at the upcoming UFC Fight Night event in London, England on March 2020.
Woodley made the following post on Instagram, promising to give Edwards a beating he’ll never forget.
“Merry Christmas @leon_edwardsmma watch what you ask for. Now you about to get fucked clean up at the crib!-#NoChills #UFCLondon #March21 #MainEvent #Redemption –@ufc send me that lil fancy flier to post!- @tdubbo “No Chill” (download it),” Woodley posted on Wednesday.
Woodley, 37, last fought earlier this year at UFC 235, losing his welterweight title to Kamaru Usman in the main event at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena.
Edwards, 28, is on an impressive eight-fight win streak, beating the likes of Donald Cerrone, Rafael dos Anjos and Gunnar Nelson to cement his position as one of the best welterweights in the world and arguably the best British fighter in the UFC.
UFC Fight Night 171 takes place next year, March 21 at the O2 Arena in London, England.
