What a difference one year makes.
Tenshin Nasukawa got 2019 started by going belly up against Floyd Mayweather in a ridiculous exhibition match that RIZIN claims was not fixed. Then he closed out 2019 by destroying Rui Ebata in a kickboxing bout — also under the RIZIN banner — inside Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
The 21 year-old phenom improves to 34-0 as a pro and remains one of the most celebrated combat sports fighters in Japan. Keep in mind that Ebata entered their contest with a record of 37-1, so it’s not like Tenshin was fighting a tomato can.
And if you’re one of those martial arts “experts” who raced over here to say “well it’s not actually a tornado kick because he didn’t do x,y, or z,” I would ask you to please shut up because it’s close enough and we’re not at the All Valley Tournament.
