Conor McGregor is just two weeks away from making his UFC return. McGregor will headline UFC 246 on pay-per-view (PPV) against Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone at welterweight. All the action goes down from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 18, 2020.
Just two weeks out, McGregor is already in Las Vegas and in preparation for his bout with “Cowboy.” McGregor recently shared a photo of himself getting some running in in the Vegas streets, commenting on how nice it is to be back on U.S. soil again.
“Out running on the streets of Las Vegas today. We are two weeks from fight night! So great to be back on U.S soil.”
McGregor was also recently at the UFC Performance Institute, and ran into former 135-pound king Dominick Cruz. The two former champions apparently had a nice chat after running into one another.
“Crafty veteran is @dominickcruz. Good to chat bro, at the @ufcpi!”
According to McGregor’s coach, John Kavanagh, McGregor is taking the lead for this fight camp, as his combat sports IQ is better than anyone else around him.
“With Conor’s fighting IQ, with Conor’s understanding of the game, really, this training camp is about all of us getting out of his way,” Kavanagh said. “Provide him an environment where he gets different looks, different feels, and support him.
“Where he wants the training camp to go, with intensities, and listening to him – where he has days where he has days where he wants to push hard, and days where he wants to slow down. It’s not so much about us coaches sitting down to game plan and then filling Conor in. Conor knows more about fighting than the rest of us put together.”
Who are you picking in McGregor vs. Cerrone at UFC 246 later this month?
