With Joanna Jedrzejczyk already booked for a Weili Zhang title fight at UFC 248 in March, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will ask Jessica Andrade to run it back with fellow ex-strawweight champion, Rose Namajunas.

Their rematch is currently being considered for the UFC 249 pay-per-view (PPV) event on April 18 inside Barclays Arena in Brooklyn, New York, according to Ariel Helwani, though UFC has yet to make an official announcement.

Andrade (20-7) captured the crown by slamming Namajunas on her skull when they went to war at UFC 237 last May, but then quickly coughed up her title to Zhang the following August. “Thug” (8-4) has not competed since losing her strap to the Brazilian bruiser.

UFC 249 is expected to be headlined by the lightweight title fight pitting reigning 155-pound kingpin, Khabib Nurmagomedov, against longtime rival and not-cursed division contender, Tony Ferguson. Elsewhere on the card, Uriah Hall and Ronaldo Souza hook ‘em up in middleweight action.
