Conor McGregor may have abstained from hardy partying and drinking in the lead-up to his comeback fight against Donald Cerrone at UFC 246, but that sacrifice went out the window after “Notorious” finished “Cowboy” in just 40 seconds last Saturday night (Jan. 18) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
McGregor was spotted at Encore Beach Club in “Sin City” living it up and showing of his best moves on the dance floor shortly after his win — his first in mixed martial arts (MMA) in three years.
And while no drinks were spotted in the video obtained by TMZ Sports, it’s safe to assume that the liquid he loves so much definitely made its way into his system at some point in the night, much like his Proper 12 did at the post-fight presser (video).
Still, “Notorious” isn’t about to go out on a month-long partying rampage, as he stated during his post-fight victory speech that he would celebrate his victory for a little while before he gets back into training in hopes of making a quick turnaround.
UFC president Dana White has already proclaimed him to be the No. 1 contender for the Lightweight title, but there are other options available if Conor wants to commit to one sooner, rather than later.
Chief among them is a showdown against Justin Gaethje — read why here — as well as another bout at Welterweight against Jorge Masvidal. “Gamebred” wants it, and we know “The Highlight” does too, all there is left to do is for UFC to come up with the best numbers and arguments to convince Conor to take one of those fights instead of hoping for someone to pull out of UFC 249 this April.
