Ivan Erslan victorious at KSW 51 | Sebastian Rudnicki/KSW
The pair of light heavyweights will clash on Saturday, March 21 at Atlas Arena in Lodz, Poland.
A light heavyweight showdown will feature on the leading European promotion’s first event of the year.
Ivan Erslan will look to keep his undefeated record intact when he takes on TUF veteran and former KSW title challenger, Przemyslaw Mysiala at KSW 53: Fight Code. A company official informed Bloody Elbow of the fight booking. The event will take place on Saturday, March 21 inside Atlas Arena in Lodz, Poland which has become a yearly stop-off for the organisation.
Erslan (8-0, 1NC) is Croatia’s best light heavyweight and one of Europe’s top prospects in that division. He made his promotional debut last November at KSW 51 in his hometown of Zagreb when he stopped Darwin Rodriguez due to strikes about a minute and a half into the first round. The 28-year-old has finished five of his eight professional victories and will be looking to make another statement in order to climb the KSW ranks.
Mysiala (23-10-1) is a Lodz native and became most well-known internationally after his run on TUF 28. He came up short in his recent title challenge against Tomasz Narkun, which ended his eight fight winning streak, so he will be looking to register his first KSW win in March. The 34 fight veteran has only gone the distance three times in his career and has finished his opponent in 22 of his 23 professional victories.
Mariusz Pudzianowski, Roberto Soldic and Karol Bedorf are all expected to compete at the event, although their opponents have not yet been named. More fight announcements are expected over the coming weeks.
